FeedWe (Go-Linux [Stefan and myself]) are shopping for a new home. We might get another box at ServerBeach but we’re trying to keep our options open. If anyone has any suggestions (good or bad experiences with hosting) please let us know. My email address is at the bottom of the page.
Specs we’re looking for:
- 2GHz processor (AMD or Intel)
- 1G of RAM
- 60G hard disk, RAID is nice if it’s cheap
- 10Mbps link
- either unlimited BW (about 3.2TB on a 10Mbps line) or a high limit in the 1TB-2TB range (2TB is what we have currently) so we don’t have to worry about paying for overage
The transition will take place sometime next month. It should be transparent as we will strive to have everything mirrored on the new server before switching DNS.
